Write it anyway.
The Highlights
Whilst I am no Booker Prize winner, I have been fortunate to be nominated for a few schemes. As a writer it is humbling to receive recognition even if that is local. For me, finishing a first draft of a manuscript whether that is a novel, short story or a script then that is the real prize. I understand how gruelling it is to continually enter prizes and competitions but at least you are putting yourself and your work out there.
